Dating Diary
I'm so surprised when Goldman asks me to fill-in as Victor's temporary Assistant. Everything goes smoothly, in spite of my nerves, until we try to leave the convention center and are faced with a terrible snowstorm.
The driver messages from the street outside. Realizing the storm's not going to stop, Victor decides to head out and meet him. I don't really want to leave the warmth of the building, but all I can do is grit my teeth and follow.
I almost freeze to death on the street. The business clothes do nothing to keep the cold out. Just at that moment, Victor rips off his overcoat and wraps it roughly around my head. It's not the most elegant solution, but it provides a sanctuary from the storm.
Victor takes even less care of himself than I do! Looking at his thin cotton shirt, I decide to lend him my blanket, never expecting him to spurn it! Mustering courage I didn't know I had, I tip-toe over to Victor and throw my blanket over his shoulders. Tea in hand, looking out at the falling snow, inside the room it feels very warm.
