Dating Diary
This morning, I went to deliver breakfast to Lucien in the research center. On my way, I heard Ming and other researchers saying Lucien was friendly but always seemed so distant. They asked me what kind of person Professor Lucien was. After pondering about it, I gave them a firm answer from the bottom of my heart.
I found Lucien in a lounge. He was deep in thoughts with a cup of coffee in his hand, seeming slightly cold with his emotionless face. But he seemed lonely rather than distant to me. I pulled up the shutters and welcomed the sunlight in through the windows, warming every single inch of the room.
I told him about the problem I faced while preparing the show, and he answered as patiently as always. But soon enough, Lucien managed to expose my lie—he knew that I was only using the problem as an excuse to see him. He then began to expose all the little secrets I did for him during this time. I knew I couldn't hide it from him, so I just admitted it.
After the filming was over, I rushed to see Lucien, but to my surprise, Lucien's experiment had failed. I watched in shock when he shredded his work page by page. However, he said this was just like any other day in his job. Although he was slightly discouraged, it was also important to learn from his failure. I then offered to go for a walk together. He then told me not only did he know about my secret gifts these days, but he also followed me quietly to walk me home. I hoped to care for him but it turned out to cause him more trouble. I immediately felt a sting in my heart... Luckily, the sweet ice cream melted away all our feelings of missing each other.
