Dating Diary
I receive an invitation to a book launch for one of Gavin's favorite crime writers. Sadly, he can't accompany me, and I become lost in my thoughts... when suddenly the fire alarm goes off.
I bump into Gavin at the Police Station while collecting a witness statement. He's on a mission and isn't able to join me at the book launch that evening. I'm disappointed because I haven't seen him in ages, so I suggest we go out and grab a meal together.
We haven't eaten at the Lynn's Kitchen in a long time. The familiar smells and friendly faces fill us with nostalgia and leave is feeling warm and content. We discuss the recent spate of fires in the city and Gavin warns me to take care.
The book launch is about to start. Gavin calls me to tell me the arsonist's next target is the Conference Center! The signal is bad and we lose contact. Thinking quickly, I smash the fire alarm in the foyer...
