Dialogue

It was late when the interview finally concluded. Lucien and I got on a bus to go home.

There were only a few people on the bus, and I sat with him in the back.

MC: Lucien, this is the first time I saw a life pass away. Thank you for being there with me.

Lucien: I will always try to be by your side. But someday you'll have to face it by yourself.

MC: Why do you say that? ...Are you going somewhere?

Lucien: I might have to go abroad.

MC: Abroad? How long?

Lucien: Not sure yet, but I may have to stay there for a long time.

The cool breeze ruffled the hair on my forehead.

I felt a little distressed hearing Lucien's gentle voice.

I don't know what to say. I put on my headphones and music started to play in my ears.

Lucien looked at me as if he was saying something to me. I took off my headphones.

Lucien: Is there nothing you want to say to me?

I shook my head and put one side of the headphones on his ear.

Only music can express my feelings now.

MC: (Whispering) I think I've grown used to having you by my side.

I looked at Lucien. He suddenly took off the headphone and leaned in to me.

Lucien: Me too.

I can hear my heart beating loudly in my chest.
